Description Supervises the activities of assigned Financial Accounts personnel. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position. Prepare Cheque order, journal entries, daily cash report..etc. Reconciles the companys goods-in-transit account. Checks advance payments made to suppliers and follows up with Purchasing and Stores Section for receipt of materials. Ensures that all monthly reconciliations relating to General Accounts Section is carried out on a timely basis. Checks statements for reasonableness and correct input and output in the ledger or PDI system. Identifies variances and directs corrective action. Update company record to meet closing time with final status reports. Participates in carrying out month-end PDI closing, reconciles any errors and corrections. Run processes to calculate cost of sales. Reviews and approves all monthly ledger account reconciliations related to management and financial accounts. Records any discrepancies or outstanding overdue accounts, and coordinates with other departments or units to resolve such discrepancies. Controls the finance operations function of the company by monitoring cash levels and negotiating with banks to optimize income from deposits by obtaining the best interest rates for long and short term deposits under Deputy Finance Manager supervision. Prepares cash forecast and deposit reports for the approval of Deputy Finance Manager and Finance Manager.
