\nPrepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures
\nUnderstand all the procedures that must be done for clearing sea shipments and air cargo shipments
\nOther duties often include guiding goods through customs, preparing and submitting documents, determining tariff and duty payments, tracking shipments, and using the tariff coding system to classify shipments.
\nUnderstand all the procedures that must be done for clearing non-commercial goods
\nMaintain knowledge on understanding the standards of import and export authority for each product
\nStay abreast of changes in import or export laws or regulations
\nMaintain relationships with customs brokers in other ports to expedite clearing of cargo.,
\nDevelop business relationships
\nPay, or arrange for payment of, taxes, charges, fees and duties on shipments.
\nRequest or compile necessary import documentation, such as customs invoices, certificates of origin, and cargo-control documents
\nMonitor or trace the location of goods
\nEstimate costs of goods or services
\nArrange for transportation, warehousing,
\nGather and collect various commercial data and prepare required reports.
\nAnalyze process and procedures to reduce operating costs for import businesses<\/p>\n
